Deborah Ann Ryan, known professionally as Debby Ryan, was born on May 13, 1993, in Huntsville, Alabama, USA.Her father worked as a civilian consultant to the U.S. military, leading the family to relocate frequently across Europe.They lived in Germany until Debby was 10 years old, where she began performing in professional theaters on an American military base at the age of seven.She is fluent in both English and German.Upon returning to the United States, the family settled in Texas, where Debby continued her education and pursued her passion for acting.

Debby Ryan's acting career commenced with appearances in television commercials during her early teens. In 2006, she made her television debut on "Barney & Friends," followed by a role in the 2007 straight-to-DVD film "Barney: Let's Go to the Firehouse." Her breakthrough came in 2008 when she was cast as Bailey Pickett in the Disney Channel series "The Suite Life on Deck," which became the most-watched children's show on television at the time. 

In 2010, Debby starred in the Disney Channel Original Movie "16 Wishes," which introduced her to a broader audience, including adults aged 18–34.
